Mew Lettuce Part 2

I got ridiculously far on this figure but then I noticed that the head was too big so I had to make another one to compensate.

I think it looks a lot better to be honest.

Working on hair is very tedious for me. (side view)

Front.  I want to try and make the hair more lively.

(Without the back of the hair.)  I also decided to change her hands so that they're not holding anything.

I lied.

So yeah you know how I said that I wouldn't start a new sculpt? Well I lied. lol

I put down the Falsetto sculpt and started on Mew Lettuce from Tokyo Mew Mew and I also picked up my Miku sculpt again.

So for this sculpt I decided not to use an armature but just tinfoil.

Then I continue to add more tinfoil and continue to sculpt the chest.

Keep going and BAM! I got the torso and legs.

Now I've got the feet, arms (with hands) and the startings of some hair.

Here's a closeup.  Ugh. sorry for the crap photo.  But yeah this is what I've got so far and it's looking pretty good IMO.

And then there's the Miku figure.  I've added the sleeves and the turtleneck part of her turtle neck.  Right now I'm trying to sand  and fix all the imperfections so she should be ready for moulding at the end of the month? (fingers crossed)

More next time.

Tough Girl

Its time for another update and me being me I've started on another sculpt even though I have a zillion that need finishing....^^;  Anyhoo I've been working on this for a few days and kind of stopped because I need more supplies/need to configure things that defy gravity (*cough cough coat thingy cough*). OTL
I present to you the very lovely Falsetto from the PS3/XBOX360 game Eternal Sonata.  These characters are so rich in detail I just had to sculpt another one. Hehe

This is the bare bones of the sculpt.  I just used the one kind of wire (which will hurt me later)  and added some tinfoil.
Next I used some magic sculpt to bulk out the figure and to give the super sculpey something to grip.
 More fleshing out.
Here I've added a good deal of S.S. and even made the head.
More messing around to get the proportions right.  In this sculpt I've also decided to not put magic sculpt on the joints to allow more flexibility in positioning.  What I should have done later was to secure those joints.  Long story short her leg came off when I was trying to saw the legs (without sawing them off completely).
Added some ears, arms, and the legs.
Here I've added the rough shape of the shoes and the rough shapes of the fists.
I don't know if you can see but there are some details in the shoes, the fists are sculpted (that's my fave part), added the puffy sleeves and the spiky hair.

Side view.

More to come next week.

Brand New Stuffs

Hey guys sorry for the 2 month hiatus but I got a new job and that has really shortened my sculpting hours.  Since then everything has slowed down and now I've fallen into my old rhythm.  So for today's post it'll be all about what I'm working on, and what I've completed (if any) XD.  (Also just in case you were wondering, I used my ipod for all the pics so the quality is not the best in the world.  In the future I'll probably make a whole post dedicated to my completed figures pics)

I like to work on figures that have not been made before and one of my fave characters that they wish they would make into a figure is Ranga from Angelic Layer.  (I also like Hikaru)
Here is the body taking shape as I usually start the body before working on the head.

I've attached the head and decided to make a new arm.  I'm not quite sure about the head (it looks humongous!)  (Maybe I should make a smaller one?)

Next up we have a Princess Cadence figure.  Ponies are hard to sculpt I tell you whut.

The hair is sculpted separately so that I can paint the face first.

I made this one rather quickly and for fun..  It's just a female lion anthro.

Here's another character that I started sculpting a while back and decided to pick back up again.  From the game Harvest Moon, this is Wizard (Gale).

Speaking of Harvest Moon games, I finished Selena (like ages ago).  Isn't she just gawgeous?  So far she is my favorite piece.

I also said I was working on Lillymon from Digimon.  Here she is sans wings and the rest of her hair (those are separate).  She looks so nice in person but in order to finish her I gotta make a mold.

And last but not least my leafeon sculpture (2.0)  Man this one was killer because I had to strip/sand ALL the paint off and putty all the anatomical errors.  Still not 100% perfect but good enough for right now.

Completed version.

OKAY! So long rant over with the WIPs and completed works.   This kind of post should not happen again (hopefully) as I will try my utmost to post at least once a week.

Zephyrmon Back Wings Complete

Today I finished Zephyrmon's back wings.  I still need to create her scarf, but before that I'm going to have to sand away any imperfections and fix mistakes with the magic sculpt...I'm not quite sure how this is going to go down for the final product but I might just have to mold and make a cast out of her. Hmmmmm.....Anyways.

Here is the left wing that is still wet.

And now both wings are complete.  Will update again later with another project! :D

Back From the Dead!

Hey ya'll! Man I haven't posted in a loooong time!  Sorry about that.  Anyhoo life has been chugging along and now that I've graduated and gotten a little part time job it's time to sculpt again. YAY!

So right now I'm working on six sculptures.  Most of them are done sculpting wise and I just need to sand, spray, paint, etc.  Three are animal/cartoon related and the other three are anime/cartoon (mostly anime) related.

Today's post however, will deal with one of the anime figures.  Ehh...To be honest it's not really a figure but more of a bust.  You see I want to create a portfolio for my works and one of the key items I want to show is a bust.

Okay enough yapping time for pics!

Today I'll be showing WIPS of a character called Zephyrmon from the show Digimon.

(Extra:  Another figure I'm working on right now is also from Digimon.)

Here is my first pic.  I'm sculpting quite roughly to get the desired silhouette.  I like my figures to be a little exaggerated so I arch the spine a bit more.

Front view.  Man I had a lot of work ahead of me.....Those wires on top will later become the wings.

Here I went into more detail with the face and took quite a bit of hair off.  Also breasts are added. (redone to more exact)

Next I work on her hair.  I used one of my Rei Ayanami figures to help with this part.

The hair is more or less complete and at this point I decide to add some arms with shoulder pads.  This is also the first bake and now it's time to work on the wings on the head.  Wire sheet is attached with Magic Sculpt.

One wing is complete...Now I gotta do the other side....

Tadaaa! Both wings are complete.  I will bake her one more time and then start to work on the back wings...*shudder*

See you next time!

Kitty-N Complete

So I've finally finished Kitty-N.  It was quite the journey and I've learned a lot.  In the future I hope to get better with my technique.

HECK YEAH! Primer Update

Finally I got my primer in the mail!  I had to wait for this weekend to use it, but it's awesome.  It's Tamiya primer in white btw.  After priming and sanding and priming and sanding,  I've gone and attached the hair, leg, head, and tail.  Now all that's left to do is cover the seams, sand those and hopefully prime one more time.

Miku post

So here's the Miku wip for right now.  I did two hands, the right arm, and the right leg.  Seriously though, when will I get my primer. *sigh*  I won't post again until I get my primer.

Tiny Update

So right now I can't do much with Kitty-N or Selena as I'm waiting for my primer to get here.  But, in the mean time how 'bout I show you guys my work area?

Here it is in all its glory. huhuhu.  As you can see its pretty messy and needs some cleaning......

Anyhoo...since I'm waiting for that primer I've been working on my 3rd project.  Yep. It's Hatsune Miku from her Lemon Ice Bar stint.  It's terribly cute.
So yeah..Onwards to pictures!!!

The head. Front view

And the body.  For her body I wanted to do something semi-relistic.  Maybe later on if it doesn't look right I'll change to a more anime-esque style.
