Miku post
So here's the Miku wip for right now. I did two hands, the right arm, and the right leg. Seriously though, when will I get my primer. *sigh* I won't post again until I get my primer.

Tiny Update
So right now I can't do much with Kitty-N or Selena as I'm waiting for my primer to get here. But, in the mean time how 'bout I show you guys my work area?
Here it is in all its glory. huhuhu. As you can see its pretty messy and needs some cleaning......
Anyhoo...since I'm waiting for that primer I've been working on my 3rd project. Yep. It's Hatsune Miku from her Lemon Ice Bar stint. It's terribly cute.

The head. Front view
Side view
And the body. For her body I wanted to do something semi-relistic. Maybe later on if it doesn't look right I'll change to a more anime-esque style.

WIPS of Kitty-N
So for this figure I knew I wanted to make it, but had failed several times in the process. This was partially due to the fact that 1. I had no idea what kind of pose to put her in and 2. Well....my patience. Eventually I did find a pose I liked from an Asuka Langley illustration.
So I just made a 6in. armature and posed it according to the picture. Now that I had the armature ready time to begin. I have the body and one leg. Yipee!
After that I haven't been taken many in-between shots but here's what the last sculpting/baking session brought about.
She still looks weird but I'll try to fix that with the next sculpting session.
Till next time. See ya.
WIP SELENA
WIPS OF SELENA (1st time)
Here I've gotten her to the way I want her to look and need to add on the details..like her nose. hehehe.
Scratch Built Figures
So if you missed it, this post will be about scratch built figures. If you're unfamiliar with the term "scratch built figures" refers to figures (usually characters from anime, games, manga, etc.) that are built from scratch using various materials. These materials can range from super sculpey or fando, etc..
I first started scratch building when I was in my late teens, but due to my lack of knowledge and patience I soon dropped the hobby. Now a few years later, I've taken an interest in it again after looking at art dolls. Art dolls are fun but it just didn't feel right for me. So after searching and searching until my eyes burned I felt I had the confidence to start again. ^^
Before I begin telling you guys what I'm working on, I'd like to go over what I use.
Right now I'm in the process of two figures which are almost nearing completion. The first one is a character from the Harvest Moon game series called Harvest Moon: Animal Parade. This character's name is Selena, and for some reason I have always wanted to sculpt her. She just looked so fun.
The second figure I'm working on right now is another character from a game series for the PS1 called Bust A Groove. My ABSOLUTE favorite character was hands down Kitty-N.
