Zephyrmon Back Wings Complete

Today I finished Zephyrmon's back wings.  I still need to create her scarf, but before that I'm going to have to sand away any imperfections and fix mistakes with the magic sculpt...I'm not quite sure how this is going to go down for the final product but I might just have to mold and make a cast out of her. Hmmmmm.....Anyways.

Here is the left wing that is still wet.

And now both wings are complete.  Will update again later with another project! :D

Back From the Dead!

Hey ya'll! Man I haven't posted in a loooong time!  Sorry about that.  Anyhoo life has been chugging along and now that I've graduated and gotten a little part time job it's time to sculpt again. YAY!

So right now I'm working on six sculptures.  Most of them are done sculpting wise and I just need to sand, spray, paint, etc.  Three are animal/cartoon related and the other three are anime/cartoon (mostly anime) related.

Today's post however, will deal with one of the anime figures.  Ehh...To be honest it's not really a figure but more of a bust.  You see I want to create a portfolio for my works and one of the key items I want to show is a bust.

Okay enough yapping time for pics!

Today I'll be showing WIPS of a character called Zephyrmon from the show Digimon.

(Extra:  Another figure I'm working on right now is also from Digimon.)

Here is my first pic.  I'm sculpting quite roughly to get the desired silhouette.  I like my figures to be a little exaggerated so I arch the spine a bit more.

Front view.  Man I had a lot of work ahead of me.....Those wires on top will later become the wings.

Here I went into more detail with the face and took quite a bit of hair off.  Also breasts are added. (redone to more exact)

Next I work on her hair.  I used one of my Rei Ayanami figures to help with this part.

The hair is more or less complete and at this point I decide to add some arms with shoulder pads.  This is also the first bake and now it's time to work on the wings on the head.  Wire sheet is attached with Magic Sculpt.

One wing is complete...Now I gotta do the other side....

Tadaaa! Both wings are complete.  I will bake her one more time and then start to work on the back wings...*shudder*

See you next time!

Kitty-N Complete

So I've finally finished Kitty-N.  It was quite the journey and I've learned a lot.  In the future I hope to get better with my technique.

HECK YEAH! Primer Update

Finally I got my primer in the mail!  I had to wait for this weekend to use it, but it's awesome.  It's Tamiya primer in white btw.  After priming and sanding and priming and sanding,  I've gone and attached the hair, leg, head, and tail.  Now all that's left to do is cover the seams, sand those and hopefully prime one more time.

Miku post

So here's the Miku wip for right now.  I did two hands, the right arm, and the right leg.  Seriously though, when will I get my primer. *sigh*  I won't post again until I get my primer.

Tiny Update

So right now I can't do much with Kitty-N or Selena as I'm waiting for my primer to get here.  But, in the mean time how 'bout I show you guys my work area?

Here it is in all its glory. huhuhu.  As you can see its pretty messy and needs some cleaning......

Anyhoo...since I'm waiting for that primer I've been working on my 3rd project.  Yep. It's Hatsune Miku from her Lemon Ice Bar stint.  It's terribly cute.
So yeah..Onwards to pictures!!!

The head. Front view
Side view

And the body.  For her body I wanted to do something semi-relistic.  Maybe later on if it doesn't look right I'll change to a more anime-esque style.

WIPS of Kitty-N

So for this figure I knew I wanted to make it, but had failed several times in the process.  This was partially due to the fact that 1. I had no idea what kind of pose to put her in and 2. Well....my patience.  Eventually I did find a pose I liked from an Asuka Langley illustration.

So I just made a 6in. armature and posed it according to the picture.  Now that I had the armature ready time to begin.  I have the body and one leg. Yipee!
After that I haven't been taken many in-between shots but here's what the last sculpting/baking session brought about.

She still looks weird but I'll try to fix that with the next sculpting session.

Till next time.  See ya.
